Aberdeen in situated in the far east of Scotland and has the odd luxury of a milder climate than the rest of Scotland. It is a very vibrant and popular city with a population of over 200,000. The gay scene in Aberdeen is relatively small when compared with other cities but there are a few gay bars and clubs. Bar Indigo used to be called O Henry’s – and the sign outside was not changed so it may difficult for the newcomer to find… This is a very lively club with free entry before midnight.

In Haddon Street, you will find Cheerz, a relatively new bar to the Aberdeen scene. This is also a fun and lively place, good at pulling in the crowd, offering fun nights with karaoke, pub quiz, pole dancers, drag shows and so much more. Then you have Disco Ba which is a new club night at Aberdeen’s 80’s club – Club Tropicana. It takes place on Wednesday nights with cheesy and chart high energy music, drinks promotions, entertainment and topless bar staff.
